As the handmade trend continues to rise this year, we at Fosterweld are working harder than ever to bring you the best accessories on the handmade market. Our drawing board has all kinds of ideas on it, and this year we're looking at our American heritage for inspiration. When I think "Americana" I think of cross-stich and tole-painting - but it's all about to change. There's a new kind of Americana, and we're going to make some awesome buckles with it. We already take pride in our business being all-American, and it's especially fitting since it's an election year. We can't wait to show you what we come up with!

Once the holidays are over, I have to confess: I have no love for winter. In Idaho, we don't get a ton of snow and it's mostly just cold and cloudy during January and February. 

So I'll do things like go tanning and listen to reggae and drink smoothies in anticipation for summer.

I can't believe that 2011 is almost over! It's been a great year for us at Fosterweld. Chris and Melanie settled in from a cross-country move from Boise to Indianapolis, I (Abby) was hired on in April to help out, and it's been a great time of learning how to work as a team. 

We launched our State Flag belt buckles, even more cool belt colors, and made a lot of awesome custom cuffs - Boise Rock School, the US Air Force, and more.
