We usually take our family snowboard trip around the holidays, but we held off a couple of months this year. Here is a new custom steel furniture piece we made for a some new friends here in Indianapolis. We specialize in handmade metal furniture as well as cool metal belt buckles. This particular piece of Urban Furniture features Hot rolled SOLID square steel legs that were welded together, then we put a piece of 1/4" hot rolled steel top and welded around the seem, so essentially it is a seamless piece.

I want to show you guys a new buckle that we are making, that was a huge hit this holiday season. We call this buckle TWENTY 7...why you ask. I have no idea. When I firt created this buckle and sent pictures off to a boutique in Milwaukee ( ALgonquin for: the good land) called SHOO, the picture title was 27,,,so there you go.
We take a buckle blank that we fabricate in our shop that measures 2 x 3 inches, and we tack weld 2 plates on top to give it a little dimension, spray a little color juice on it, distress it,,,then put a serious grind finish pattern on the top plates, which end up being silver. This is by far one of the coolest belt buckles we make. The best thing about our custom belt buckles is that they are TOTALLY AFFORDABLE and HANDMADE in the USA....how many pieces of jewelry, clothing or accessories do you have that are made in the US? Thats what I thought. This custom buckle was design to commemorate the events of June 28, 2009 in Honduras. Not so much to highlight the political chaos that ensued, but to celebrate the democratic and republican resurgence of the Honduran citizens. A renewed interest in the Honduran Constitution and all the things for which it stands (and does not). Moreover, to celebrate those who bravely stood up and publicly denounced those who wish to leverage the very same constitution against the people. When I needed to make something special, I looked to Fosterweld to design and build these amazing pieces.

Check out this batch of Custom Golf Belt buckles fabricated specially for the University of Idaho Women's Golf team, Vandals. We are super stoked for the opportunity to work on these custom stainless steel belt buckles for the ladies and glad that FOSTERWELD is out there on the course.
A few weeks ago we were contacted by Borschoff, a local ad company here in Indianapolis to create these Custom Metal Wall Art pieces as well as these funky desk name tags. These were going to be used to church up their office a bit and allow the employees to add their own pictures, quotes and write their names on the plate / FLAIR. This artwork incorporated their logo and they had full rein with the design concept.
All of these were laser cut mild steel with a slight arc rolled into the plate. The finish was done with an Aluminum Oxide wheel then splashed with colored enamel that was hand distressed for a finished look.
